You should only create COMP tickets if you are using our 'Box Office' solution.
Otherwise, you should just issue PROMO CODES that offer 100% off to allow someone to receive a 'free' ticket.
If you are using our 'Box Office' solution, create COMP tickets by following these steps:
- Login to Freshtix.com
- Click on 'Manage Events'
- Click on your event to open your Dashboard
- Click on 'Edit your Event'
- Click the ' Box Office Tickets' tab on left side
- Click 'Free' to create a COMP price type
- Save your event.
You can now 'sell' this Price Type through the Box Office solution if you have access to it.
#FRESHTIP - When you sell out comp tickets, you need to put in the email address of the recipient, not your own.
All Freshtix accounts are tied to an email address. When you put in someone else’s name, but your email address, all you are doing is changing the name on your account.
In turn, your reports will read incorrectly. Each time you allocate a comp ticket, you change the name on all your comp orders to the last name that you used.
