Ask Questions and Collect Additional Information

During the registration/ticket buying process you have two opportunities to collect additional information or ask questions of your attendees/ticket buyers. You can all customers to type in their response or choose from a list of responses that you create.

 

Types of Questions

 

Price Type Level 

Ask for information from each ticket buyer, such as:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address
  • T-shirt Size
  • Emergency Contact
  • Company Name
  • Meal choice (meat/vegetarian)

Add these questions if you need the answers for each ticket purchased in someone's cart. 

Event Level

Ask for a single response for the whole order or group, like:

  • How did you hear about us?
  • Have you attended this event before?
  • Would you like to receive updates about future events?
  • Special Requests
  • On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate...

 Add these questions if you need one answer regardless of how many tickets are purchased.

 

Create Question

  1. Go to the Event Dashboard (Freshtix.com > click "Manage Events" > click your event name)
  2. Scroll down to find “Create/Manage Questions”
  3. Select “+Add Question” to create your new question (for example “Ticket holder’s first name”; it doesn't need to be phrased as a question)
  4. After your question is created, click your event name at the top of the page to go back to the Event Dashboard

 

Add Price Type Question

  1. On the Event Dashboard, select “Edit Your Event”
  2. Choose “Online Tickets” from the navigation menu
  3. For each ticket type, click the gear icon for Settings
  4. Use the drop down list to select it and click “Add Question” to apply
  5. Once the question is added, there will be a checkbox to make it required
  6. Don’t forget to hit “Save” when finished

 

Add Event Question

  1. On the Event Dashboard, select “Edit Your Event”
  2. Choose “Event Questions” from the navigation menu
  3. Use the drop down list to select it and click “Add Question” to apply
  4. Once the question is added, there will be a checkbox to make it required
  5. Don’t forget to hit “Save” when finished
