Can I sell tickets on-site with Freshtix?

Yes - we have an easy-to-use point-of-sale Box Office Solution that will allow you to sell tickets on-site at your event.

It works best with a laptop - we do not have a mobile app or tablet app available (yet).

You can purchase a USB credit card swipe from us, or use your own.

Note: Please contact us if you would like to activate this feature.

  • Log in to your account on Freshtix.com and select 'Sell Tickets'
  • Select an event
  • Select the 'Quick Sell' option
  • Enter the number of tickets to purchase
  • Select a payment method
    • Charge Card (using a credit card swipe)
    • Cash Purchase
    • External Payment (using Square, Clover, a standard credit card terminal or another external payment processor)

Cash Sales

  • Select the green 'Cash Purchase' button
  • Enter the customer's first and last name (optional)
  • Enter the customer's email address (optional)
  • Make sure the total is correct
  • Collect the correct amount of cash from the customer and give change if need be
  • Click the green 'Purchase' button to complete the sale

Credit Card Sales

  • Select the light blue 'Charge Card' button
  • Swipe the customer's credit card
  • Several fields will populate automatically:
    • First name
    • Last name
    • Credit card number
  • Ask for and enter the cardholders 3 or 4 digit security code
  • Enter their email address if they want a for a receipt (optional)
    • Click the green 'Purchase' button to complete the sale

External Sales (Square/Clover or a stand-alone credit card machine)

  • Select the dark blue 'External Payment' button
  • Run the sale on your own Square device or external payment device
  • Enter the customer's first and last name (optional)
  • Enter the customer's email address (optional)
  • Make sure the total is correct
  • Click the green 'Purchase' button to complete the sale

Tips and Tricks

  • The customer's zip code is required for credit card sales (but not for cash sales or external payment sales)
  • The zip code must match what the bank or credit card company has on file with the cardholder or the sale will be declined
